We are pleased to announce that we have officially integrated PayPal and Okta SSO (Social Sign On) features into the Thrinacia Atlas. You now have the ability to accept payments via PayPal and also allow for authentication/sign-in into the platform using Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Apple, Microsoft or Native Oktaauthentication.
Thrinacia Atlas Changelog – 2021-03-24
Let’s take a deeper dive into the new features that are included in this update.
PayPal Payment Gateway
You can now connect and configure your payment settings in the admin dashboard to be using the PayPal payment gateway. To do this, please refer to the following blog article here.
Once you have configured the payment settings, you will be able to accept donations into your PayPal account.
Please note: marketplace mode is currently not supported with PayPal. This means that all of the pledges will be sent to one single PayPal account that is connected to the platform.
When users want to donate on the site, they will have the option to pay via their PayPal account or debit/credit card as per the screenshot below.
Okta Identity Provider
Allow your users to sign in via their favourite identity provider/platform. You have the choice to enable and disable the different identity providers that you would like to use, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Okta.
Users also have the ability to log into the platform using their favourite identity provider when making a contribution.
Learn more on how to connect Okta to your platform by reading the following article here.
We have also added a few critical updates for Stripe SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) flow to support correct logging of failed transactions. Updates were sent to all website instances in the network which accept automatic updates.
