Would you like to add the capabilities for users on your website to comment on the Crowdfunding campaigns via Facebook? This tutorial is going to explain how you can quickly set up the optional Facebook comments on your Atlas Crowdfunding platform.
When enabling the Facebook comment settings, your users will be forced to log in through Facebook to comment on a Crowdfunding campaign. As per the screenshot below:
Below are the steps that it takes to add the Facebook comments capabilities:
Step 1. Go to the comment settings.
Once you have subscribed to an Atlas subscription plan, you can log into the site as an admin to access the administrator dashboard. Go to the administrator dashboard, and click on the portal settings tab. Next, click on the comment settings tab. Here, you can see that you have 3 options for comment settings. Click on the Facebook comments option as per the screenshot below:
As you can see from the screenshot above, there is one field called Facebook App ID. This is the only requirement to enable the Facebook comments.
Step 2. Get the App ID
To get the App ID, you will need to sign in to the Facebook developers dashboard. You can use the following link for access to the Facebook developers site: https://developers.facebook.com/
Once you create an account and sign in, you will have to create a new App ID. To do this, click on My Apps in the top navigation, then click on Add a New App.
Follow the steps to create a new app:
Add the display name and your Facebook email address used to sign into your Facebook account, then click Create App ID.
Step 3. Verify the app.
In order to receive and use the live App ID, you will have to verify the app. To do this, you need to go to the Basic page located in the left menu:
Here, you will have to fill out the necessary information. You can add the privacy policy URL, and the terms of service URL, then save. Facebook may also ask for more verification. Once adding the necessary information, you will have access to your App ID. You can now copy the App ID.
Step 4. Paste the App ID and preview the comments.
Go back to the comment settings and paste the App ID into the Facebook App ID field. Make sure that you save the settings. You can now go to your Crowdfunding campaign, click on the comment tab, and view the Facebook comment capabilities:
