Campaign Management, Contribution Management and Message Center – Tutorial

This blog post will teach you about some the functionality and provide an overview of how to use Campaign Management, Contribution Management and the Message Center.

Campaign Management

  • Once you have logged in you can click on the icon in the top right corner.  This will open up the My Dashboard menu, click on My Campaigns.

  • Once you have entered Campaign Management you will see all of the campaigns that are on your site.

  • You can filter through campaigns by clicking on and selecting an option from any of the three drop down menus, (category, status, and order by) or search by the campaign name on the far right.
  • Clicking on the Edit button will bring you to the Campaign Basics page. From here you can view and update the selected campaign’s Details, Rewards, Profile, Funding and Preview.  The following blog post explains how to create or edit a campaign: Create a Campaign Tutorial.
  • Click on the Pause button to put all actions on hold for that particular campaign.
  • Click on the Accept for Capture button to allow the campaign owner to capture funds.
  • To cancel a campaign click on the Cancel button and confirm in the pop up window.
  • Click on the Transactions button to views a table, chart and detailed list of contributions for that particular campaign.

  • On the Campaign Management page you can click on the Manage Streams button to add or edit stream posts that display on that particular campaign.

  • Click on the Add Streams button to make a new post.  Enter the Stream Title into the input field. Select which group of users will be able to view the post from the drop down menu on the right. Enter your post into the text field and click on the Save button once you are done editing the post. Once you have returned to the Manage Streams page click on the Publish button on the right to make the post viewable.

  • Click on the Edit button to update an existing post.  Edit the Stream Title in the input field. Select which group of users will be able to view the post from the drop down menu on the right. Update the post in the text field and click on the Save button once you are done editing the post.
  • To remove a post from display click on the Unpublish button and then confirm in the pop up window by clicking the Yes button.
  • To delete a post click on the Delete button and then confirm in the pop up window by clicking the Yes button.
  • To send an email to campaign funders that will direct them to the post click on the Notify Backers button and then confirm in the pop up window by clicking the Yes button.

My Contributions

  • Once you have logged in you can click on the icon in the top right corner.  This will open up the My Dashboard menu, click on My Contributions.

  • Once you have entered Contribution Management you will see a list of all of the contributions that you have made to different campaigns.

  • You can filter through contributions by clicking on and selecting an option from one of the two drop down menus, (category or status) or search by the campaign name on the far right.
  • Click on the More button to view additional details about a particular contribution.

My Messages

  • Once you have logged in you can click on the icon in the top right corner.  This will open up the My Dashboard menu, click on My Messages.

  • Once you have entered the Message Center you will see a list of all of the messages that you have sent and received through the site.

  • Click on the Inbox tab at the top of the page to view all of your received messages. Click on a message in the left column to view the contents of that message. Click on the arrow icon to reply to that message. Click on the trash can icon to delete that message.
  • Click on the Sent tab at the top of the page to view all of your sent messages. Click on a message in the left column to view the contents of that message. Click on the trash can icon to delete that message.
