We have added a new feature allowing you to enable portal tipping, i.e. allowing campaign contributors to leave a tip for website or portal.
Tipping is fully configurable, meaning you can setup tip tiers (percentage or fixed amount based), enable manual dynamic tip and no tip options as well as set min/max thresholds and so on. The feature is available under administration panel via “Portal Settings -> Campaign Settings UI” at “Campaign Tipping” section as shown below.
Once your tipping is configured and enabled, contributors will see following interface on the contribution page where they can choose tip option or skip it if you enabled on “no tip” option in the “Campaign Tipping” section.
Note that portal tips are always charged directly via the application or portal account and in the default settlement currency of such account and not the connected campaign account. Minimum charge amount for target settlement currency is always auto checked and adjusted for the tip tiers that are percentage based to ensure they meet the minimum thresholds for charges.
Portal tipping functionality has been implemented across all products including Thrinacia Atlas, Sedra Widget, Meridian App and our Orion WP plugin.
